3 Setting the FlashN

Display the Custom Function.
Select [External flash C.Fn setting],
then press <0>.

Set the Custom Function.
Turn the <5> dial to select the
function number, then set the
function. The procedure is the same
as setting the camera’s Custom
Functions (p.220).
To clear all the Custom Function
settings, select [Clear ext. flash C.Fn
set.] in step 1.
Setting the External Speedlite Custom Functions
On the [External flash func. setting] screen, setting the wireless flash
shooting with radio transmission is not possible. (Only setting the
wireless flash shooting with optical transmission is possible.) When using
radio transmission wireless flash, set it on the flash.
If you use Speedlite 600EX-RT/600EX or Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-
RT for wireless flash shooting with the radio transmission function
“Remote Release from a Slave Unit” or “Linked Shooting” you will need
Release Cable SR-N3.
