darning with straight stitching the
work is stretched in a hoop. For
darning socks use zig-zag stitching.
The material is guided by hand. Set
presser foot pressure at darning

glide sole for sewing plastic-coated
fabric, some leather imitations and
other materials which tend to
adhere to the metal presser feet.
