Calibration & Utilities
In data acquisition process, how to calibrate your measurement devices to
maintain its accuracy is very important. Users can calibrate the analog input
and analog output channels under the users' operating environment for
optimizing the accuracy. This chapter will guide you to calibrate your ACL-
8216 to an accuracy condition.
6.1 What do you need
Before calibrating your ACL-8216 card, you should prepare some
equipment’s for the calibration:
• Calibration program: After finishing the DOS software installation, a
utility program 8216util.exe exists in C:\ADLINK\8216\DOS\UTIL
directory. Once the program is executed, it will guide you to do the
calibration.
• A 6 1/2 digit multimeter ( 6 1/2 is recommended)
• A voltage calibrator or a very stable and noise free DC voltage
generator
