WAN Status
The WAN Status tab allows you to view the status of the connection 
between the wide area network and the ISP.
The available test results are the 
following:

WAN Access specifies the type of 
WAN access, either Bridged or 
Routed mode.
³
Status displays either Connected, 
Connecting, or Fail for the line 
connection under test.
³
Encapsulat is the encapsulation method used by the network and 
consists of four types.
³
PPPoE is point-to-point protocol over Ethernet.
³
Bridged Ether DHCP is also known as multi-protocol 
encapsulation over ATM (MPoA).
³
VPI is the virtual path identifier ranging from 0 to 255 for the ATM 
connection. VPI is not displayed for VDSL2 connections.
³
VCI is the virtual circuit identifier ranging from 32 to 65535 for the ATM 
connection. VCI is not displayed for VDSL2 connections.
³
Assigned IP is the IP address information assigned to the unit that is 
actively connected to your network or the internet at the time of login.
³
Gateway is the IP address of the default gateway.
³
Subnet Mask is the network address used to identify if the IP address is 
within the same wide area network.
³
DNS1 is the address of the primary domain name server to be used by 
the unit.
³
DNS2 is the address of the secondary domain name server to be used 
by the unit.
