Message Wait and Callback Indicator Lights

The Message Wait light lets you know that a voice mail message is has been
left in your mailbox. The Callback light indicates whether or not a Callback
request has been placed on your phone (see page 2-37). The following
diagram shows the location of the Message Wait and Callback lights, and is
followed by a description of each of the lights and how they are used.

Messages

A new message for the VMIB or external voice mail is defined as a

message in the mailbox which has not yet been played to the subscriber.

A saved message is defined as a message in the mailbox which has

been played to the subscriber, but has not been deleted or moved.

A station message wait request is defined as the MWI request left by

another intercom station without a voice message, by pressing the Call
Back button when ringing a busy or unanswered station.
