Engaging the Blades

1. Squeeze the Operator Presence Lever against the Handlebar Grip (Figure 9).

2. Engage the Blades by pulling UP on the Blade Engage Knob (Figure 10).

NOTE: If you pull UP on the Blade Engage Knob before holding down the Operator Presence Lever, the

Engine will shut off.

ALWAYS DISENGAGE THE BLADES OF THE DR WIDE-CUT LAWN

MOWER BEFORE SHIFTING INTO

REVERSE.

Stopping the Blades

Stop the Blades by pushing DOWN on the Blade Engage/Disengage Switch Knob (Figure 10).

NOTE: If you release the Operator Presence Lever with the Blades engaged, the Engine will shut off.

Stopping the Engine

1. Disengage the Blades by pushing DOWN on the Blade Engage/Disengage Switch Knob (Figure 10).
2. Set the Parking Brake by squeezing the Lever and lifting up on the Lock pin.

3. Move the Shift Lever to the N (Neutral) position.

4. Move the Throttle Control to the IDLE position.

5. Turn the Key to the OFF position and remove it for safety.

NOTE: Also close the Fuel Shut-Off Valve when transporting or storing the Mower.
