The following tables and graphs may be used to correct 4000M+ kVp readings taken with the following
Mammographic x-ray tube target/filter combinations:
Molybdenum target 30µ Molybdenum filter
Molybdenum target 25µ Rhodium filter
Molybdenum target 1 mm Aluminum filter
Rhodium target
25µ Rhodium filter
Rhodium target 1 mm Aluminum filter
Two forms of correction have been calculated, one is a multiplier and the other is a kV offset that may be
added to the indicated kV. These tables’ ad graphs are only valid when a 4000M+ is used in the
Mammographic mode (Mo/Mo selected) with the standard Mo/Mo calibration. The use of these factors
will correct the indicated kV to 1 kV over the Mammographic kV range.
