SPECIFY THE TIMER/COUNTER

The timer/counter monitors the number of arc starts and arc time on. This unit interfaces with
the HT4001 power supply.

Order the timer/counter.

5

SPECIFY THE TIMER/COUNTER CABLE

Determine the location of the timer/counter and distance from the HT4001 power supply and
order the timer counter cable.

6

SPECIFY THE TORCH

The torch for the HT4001 is the PAC620. The PAC620 can be ordered as either a bevel-
cutting or standard-cutting torch. By changing the water tube and consumable parts, either
style of torch can be transformed into the other style. The torch assemblies consist of a torch
main body, consumables, torch sleeve and a lead package which consists of a plasma
gas hose, one plasma off valve, and one control cable.

Order the appropriate torch assembly.

7

SPECIFY THE TORCH MOUNTING BRACKET

A torch mounting bracket is needed to attach the torch and valve assembly to the torch lifter
on the cutting machine.

Order the torch mounting bracket.
Note:

Do not order this bracket if choosing the IHS option: an alternate torch mounting
bracket comes with the IHS system.

8

SPECIFY THE REMOTE HIGH FREQUENCY CONSOLE

This unit houses water plumbing and related control devices as well as the high-frequency
starting circuit. The high-frequency starting circuit permits more effective RF shielding and
allows the power supplies to be installed at a distance of up to 200 feet from the torch. A
cooling water flow switch, injection water flow switch and injection water valve control the flow
of gas and water to the torch. Fabrication of mounting brackets may be necessary.

Determine approximately where the console will be mounted on the cutting machine and note
the distance from the HT4001 power supply and the torch. The console is usually mounted
on the back of the bridge as close to the torch station as possible. Check the mounting holes
and weight of the console to determine where it can best be attached.
