SPECIFY THE LEADS BETWEEN THE HT4001 POWER SUPPLY AND
THE REMOTE HIGH FREQUENCY CONSOLE

9

A

This lead package between the HT4001 power supply and the remote high frequency con
sole consists of one negative lead (4/0 cable), one pilot arc lead and one control cable.
Order this package when there is no slave power supply in the system.

9

B

This lead package between the HT4001 power supply and the remote high frequency con
sole consists of two negative leads (4/0 cables), one pilot arc lead and one control cable.
Order this package when there is a slave power supply in the system.

• Based on the distance (the path that the leads will have to run) between the HT4001 power

supply and the remote high frequency console, specify the appropriate lead package.

10

SPECIFY THE SHIELDED LEADS BETWEEN THE TORCH AND THE
REMOTE HIGH FREQUENCY CONSOLE

The shielded lead package between the remote high frequency console and the torch
consists of two torch coolant hoses and one pilot arc lead. This lead package is bound
together by an external sheathing. If the leads are being placed in a power track, then
measure the length from the torch through the power track to the console and allow an extra
3 to 5 feet of length. In a festoon system, measure the width of the bridge and double
it for lead length.

Based on the distance between the torch and the remote high frequency console and the
above considerations, specify the appropriate lead package.

SPECIFY THE GAS CONSOLE

This unit houses valves for plasma gas flow control as well as flowmeters for plasma
gas and injection water, metering valves for preflow and operating plasma gas flow,
a metering valve for adjustment of injection water flow, and three switches: one to
choose between oxygen or nitrogen, another to select either test preflow, test operate, or run
modes, and a third to adjust flows during operating mode. The gas console interfaces with the
gas supplies, the RHF console, the motor valve console, the torch and the HT4001 power
supply. Fabrication of a mounting bracket may be necessary.

The gas console should be mounted in a convenient location for the operator - usually next to
the cutting machine controller. Determine approximately where the console will be mounted
in relation to the operator, HT4001 power supply, gas supplies, motor valve console, remote
high frequency console, and the torch. Check mounting holes and weight and order the gas
console.
