ATTACH AND REMOVE NASAL CANNULA INSTRUCTIONS
The Cannula Nozzle Fitting on the Activox POC rotates to reduce
the risk of a kinked cannula. To ensure proper functioning of the
Fitting, refer to the following instructions for correct attachment and
removal of the cannula.
Attaching the Cannula:
1. Align the Cannula Nozzle Fitting to
the up-right position. Cannula Nozzle
Fitting is at the 90° position
2. Install the Cannula Adapter by
rotating and pressing (in the same
motion) onto the Fitting with the
Fitting in the upright position. Press
down to fully seal the connection and
test with a light pull. Note: To ease
Cannula removal, the Adapter should
not be advanced past the fourth rib of
the Fitting.
Removing the Cannula:
1. Put the Fitting in the vertical position
and grasp the Cannula Adapter as
close to the Fitting tip as possible.
2. Remove by squeezing and rotating
straight up on the Cannula Adapter as
shown. Twist and pull. Do NOT yank
the hose abruptly and do NOT pull
any direction but UP or risk breaking
the Fitting.
