Names and functions of parts (remote control)

When both the main unit and the remote control have
buttons with the same functions, the instructions in this
manual refer to only the main unit buttons, but the remote
buttons can be used in the same way.

ON/LIGHT button

Press this button to light the white buttons on the remote con-
trol for a few seconds.

STANDBY button

This button is not used with this unit.

Number buttons

Use to select tracks.

PLAY AREA button

When stopped, press to change the playback area of a Super
Audio CD (page 24).

2CH/MULTI button

Press to switch between two-channel and multichannel audio
output modes (page 24).

AUDIO button

Use with program playback (page 22).

SCAN (m/,) buttons

Use to search backward and forward (page 21).

h

STOP (8) button

Press to stop playback.

PLAY (y) button

Press to start disc playback.

VOLUME buttons

These buttons are not used with this unit. They can be used
with Esoteric D/A converters (including the D-02), amplifiers and
other products.

INPUT buttons

These buttons are not used with this unit. They can be used
to switch the inputs of Esoteric D/A converters (including the
Grandioso D1) and amplifiers.

DIMMER button

You can set the brightness of this unit's display to one of four
levels (page 25).
