The digital audio of a Super Audio CD cannot be output.

e

In order to output the digital audio of a Super Audio CD, you
must use an Esoteric D/A converter (D1, D-02, D-05, D-03 or
D-01) or a converter that has an i.LINK (AUDIO) connector.

e

In order to output multichannel audio, you must connect a

playback (page 24).

A signal with which the unit cannot be synchronized might be
being input. Check the connections of the clock sync connectors
and the settings of the connected device.

“CLOCK!” appears on the display.

e

“Clock sync mode setting” on page 28 and “Clock sync input

“TRAY!” appears on the display when the disc tray opens and
closes.

e

“TRAY!” appears on the display if something is blocking the front
of the disc tray, the disc is not loaded properly or the tray stops
during opening or closing. Press the tray open/close (-) but-
ton after removing the cause to return the tray to its original
position.

This unit uses a microprocessor, so noise and other external interfer-
ence could cause it to stop functioning properly. In such a case, turn
the unit off and wait about one minute before restarting operation
from the beginning.

Note about condensation

If this unit is brought from a cold outdoor environment into a
warm room, or the heater has just been turned on in the room
where it is located, for example, condensation might occur on
operating parts or lenses, resulting in improper operation. If this
occurs, leave the unit on and wait 1-2 hours. This should enable
normal playback.
