Cause of fault

Explanation/remedy

By

The device

switches off

If the device has shut down, it attempts to re-start at regular

intervals.

The device switches off automatically under the following con-

ditions. These must be investigated:

• Overload
• DC overvoltage and undervoltage
• Heavy battery discharge
• Overtemperature

"

Check that the "Shutdown" display on the control panel

of the device is on, and check the reason in "GS eco link"

in the "Attention required" field, in the "Now" area of the

"Data View" tab. Make a note of the reason given, and con-

tact your supplier.

unstable.

The power is fluctuating, the displays are lit brighter or

weaker, but do not go out.

"

Use the displays on the device control panel and the power

data to try and determine the reason.

"

The generator power can fluctuate due to poor generator

conditions or due to high loads being added or removed.

In "GS eco link" check the measurement for the generator

voltage.

"

The device power can fluctuate if very high loads are

started. In "GS eco link", check the measurement for the

output voltage (AC Load Voltage).

Problems with

the AC power

The power drops

for short periods

(one second to

several minutes)

Use the displays on the device control panel and the power

data to try and determine the reason.

"

The device may be in eco mode and the load is too small

to be detected. In this mode, the device pulses the power

until a load is detected.

"

In "GS eco link", check the power level of the eco mode (Eco

Power Level). The device may switch off due to an overload

or lower DC voltage and attempts regularly to re-start. If

the device shuts down, all high loads that could cause a

shutdown are switched off. If the device shuts down due

to low DC voltage, check the availability of the generator

and the possible reasons why the generator is not starting,

such as an empty starter battery or no fuel.

The power drops

for longer periods

(10 minutes to

several hours).

Use the displays on the device control panel and the power

data to try and determine the reason.

"

In "GS eco link", check the "Attention required" field in the

"Now" area on the "Data View" tab if a fault is displayed,

and contact your installation engineer / system integrator.
