Multifeeds
A multifeed is more than one page passing through the imaging area
together. It results in either one or more images not being captured, or
an image that combines content from more than one page.
If a multifeed occurs when you are scanning, the function window will
display a U8 error code:
- Open the scanner cover.
- Separate the multifed pages and put them back at the bottom of
the stack.
- Shuffle the stack into good feeding form again.
- Close the scanner cover.
- Put stack into the input tray.
- Press the button.
NOTE: If you installed a TWAIN or ISIS driver, you can adjust multifeed
sensitivity settings.
Paper jams
A paper jam occurs when one or more pages become lodged in the
paper path.
If a jam occurs when you are scanning, the function window will display
a U9 error code:
• Open the scanner cover.
• Remove any jammed pages.
• Close the scanner cover.
