Trap (SNMP)
This term describes an event that affects an MIB variable. Traps are sent to the manager, which is programmed
to perform specific tasks upon reception of the traps.
UM-Client
UM-Client is a legacy software package (SNMP manager) that uses the information sent by the agent
dedicated to the MGE UPS in order to inform users of the computer of the power quality status.
In case of a power failure, UM-Client triggers a graceful shutdown procedure at the end of a preset battery
runtime.
