14.5.1 Changing the display to show Lat/Lon or Time and SOG
Factory default is “Your Vessel’s Current Position,” however, following the steps
below the GPS Information can be changed to “Course Over Ground (COG).”
1. Press and hold down the [CALL(MENU)] key until “ RADIO RADIO RADIO RADIO RADIO
SETUP SETUP SETUP SETUP SETUP” menu appears.
2. Press the [ENT] key, then select “ NAV DISPLAY NAV DISPLAY NAV DISPLAY NAV DISPLAY NAV DISPLAY” with the
[ S]/[T] key.
3. Press the [ENT] key.
4. Press the [
T] or [S] key to select “Pos Pos Pos Pos Pos (Your Vessel’s Cur-
rent Position)” or “ Cru Cru Cru Cru Cru (Course Over Ground).”
5. Press the [ENT] key to store the data entered, then press
the [16/9] key to exit this menu and return to radio opera-
tion mode.
14.5.2 External Speaker AF Selection
The AF SELECT AF SELECT AF SELECT AF SELECT AF SELECT menu allows you to set the audio output level of the VH-310’s
External Speaker to a fixed level regardress of the VOL level setting of the VH-
310, which is useful when using the STANDARD HORIZON MLS-310 10W
amplified speaker with on/off volume control.
1. Press and hold down the [CALL(MENU)] key until “ Radio Radio Radio Radio Radio
Setup Setup Setup Setup Setup” menu appears.
2. Press the [ENT] key, then select “ AF SELECT AF SELECT AF SELECT AF SELECT AF SELECT” with the [ S]/
[ T] key.
3. Press the [ENT] key.
4. Press the [
S] or [T] key to select “Pr Pr Pr Pr Pr” (External Speaker
Level is “Fixed”) or “ Po Po Po Po Po” (External Speaker Level is “Adjust-
able”).
5. Press the [ENT] key to store the data entered, then press
the [16/9] key to exit this menu and return to radio opera-
tion mode.
