Notes:

In some cases, the subtitle language is not changed to the
selected one.

When a disc supporting closed caption is played, the subtitle
and the closed caption may overlap each other on the TV
screen. In this case, turn the subtitle off.

When the desired language is not selected even if the button
is pressed, the language is not available on the disc.

When the power is turned on or the disc is replaced, select
the subtitle language again.

If the subtitle language is not necessary, press [SUBTITLE]
while holding [SHIFT] down to select “

Off”.

Notes:

The vocal output feature is used during playback of Dolby
Digital (multi-channel) recorded DVD KARAOKE discs. This
feature allows you to turn off vocal audio tracks, or restore
them for back-ground accompaniment.

When playing KARAOKE, connect appropriate audio
equipment such as an amplifier to the DVD.

Selecting Subtitle Language [DVD]

This operation works only with discs on which multiple subtitle
languages are recorded.

1. Press [SUBTITLE] while holding [SHIFT] down during playback.

The subtitle language mark appears on the TV screen.

(Example:

2/3 Spa)

If “

Off” appears, press the button again.

Off

2. Press [SUBTITLE] while holding [SHIFT] down repeatedly

until the desired subtitle language appears on the TV screen.

Example:

1/3 Eng

After few seconds, “

” disappears.

Selecting Audio Soundtrack Language
(Multi-Language) [DVD]

This operation works only with discs on which multiple audio

soundtrack languages are recorded.

1. Press [AUDIO] while holding [SHIFT] down during playback.

2. Press [AUDIO] while holding [SHIFT] down repeatedly until

the desired language appears on the TV screen.

Example:

1/3 Eng Dolby Digital

Notes:

When the desired language is not selected even if the button

is pressed, the language is not available on the disc.

When the power is turned on or the disc is replaced, select

the language again.

If the language is not recorded on the disc, only the available

language on the disc will be heard.

Karaoke Playback [DVD]

You can turn the vocal on or off recorded on the DVD KARAOKE.

1. During DVD KARAOKE disc playback, press [AUDIO] while

holding [SHIFT] down.

” (karaoke symbol) appears on the TV screen.

Example:

] to select “On” or “Off”.

On: The primary vocal is output when it is recorded on the

disc.

Off: The primary vocal is not output.
