1. Switching the power ON (OFF)

Let’s have sound

÷ The display shows a reference value.

2. Selecting the desired output

When the power is ON, pressing the ON/STANDBY

(POWER) key puts

the unit in the standby mode and the STANDBY indicator lights up.

Muting the sound temporarily
(MUTE)

Reproducing sound with enhanced bass
(EX.BASS) (NV-301 only)

3. Volume adjustment

÷ When you press the TAPE or CD key, the unit starts playback automati-

cally (if a tape or CD has been loaded beforehand).

÷ If you select the MD/DVD (NV-301 only), or VIDEO/6ch IN (NV-701 only)

external input mode, also read the instruction manual of the component
connected to the MD/DVD (NV-301 only) jacks or VIDEO jacks (NV-701 only).

÷ (NV-701 only) Pressing the VIDEO/6ch IN key repeatedly switches the input

between the components connected to the VIDEO 1 and VIDEO 2 jacks.

Listening through headphones
(optional)

Insert the headphone plug into the
PHONES jack.

÷ The sound from all speakers is cut

off.
