1. Connecting a digital audio player

Recording to a digital audio player

Use a commercial cord with stereo mini plugs to connect the D.AUDIO OUT

terminal of this unit and the recording input terminal of the digital audio player.

When connecting a digital audio player, first switch off the
power for the digital audio player and for this unit before mak-
ing the connection.
Then switch on both units.

Select an input source

TUNER
DVD/CD
TAPE/VIDEO1, VIDEO2, TV or AUX

÷ Select an input source other than D.AUDIO.

When a digital audio player with direct encoding function is connected, the sound played back by this unit

can be recorded by the digital audio player.

Preparing the recording source

TUNER : Tune in to the station.
DVD/CD : Pause playback at the start of the track or chapter to be

recorded.

TAPE/VIDEO1, VIDEO2, TV, AUX (external input) : Make the prepa-

rations for reception or playback.

÷ Adjust the recording level if the recorded sound is distorted or too low.Q

The following settings are guide values.

DVD/CD, TUNER : REC LEVEL 0
Other external input sources : The value set by external input

level adjustment.
