When the Error Message Is Displayed on the Control Panel

❒ If an error message that is not contained in this section appears, turn off the
main power switch of the machine, and then turn it on again. If the message
is still shown, note the content of the message and the error number (if listed
in the table), and contact your service representative. For information about
how to turn off the main power switch, see p.73 “Powering Off the Machine”.
Message Possible Cause and Action
Cannot communicate with server.
Check the server status. The scanned data will
be stand by.
No response from the delivery server. Possible
causes are as follows:
• The delivery server is not running or has
not started delivery service.
• "Delivery Server IP Address" is not set cor-
rectly in System Settings.
• The delivery server does not recognize the
connected device. Program a connected
device in "Set I/O Device" of ScanRouter
V2 Administration Utility.

• The machine may not be correctly connect-
ed to the network. Check the LED indica-
tors of the Ethernet board.

Cannot detect original size.
Select scan size and reset originals. • Place the original correctly.
• Specify the scan size.
• When placing an original directly on the
exposure glass, the opening/closing action
of the ADF triggers the automatic original
size detection process. Raise the ADF by
more than 30 degrees.
Cannot select over 30 files at the same time. To select more than 30 stored files, divide the
operation into several times.
Cannot use destination list because the stored
destinations have been found over 200. More than 200 destinations were pro-
grammed. Keep the number at 200 or less.
Destination and sender list update has been
failed.
Try again. Check whether the delivery server has started
operation.
Exceeded max. data capacity.
Check the scanning resolution.
Specify the scan size and resolution again.
Note that it may not be possible to scan very
large originals.

Exceeded max. file capacity.
Delete the unnecessary stored files. The maximum number of files that can be
stored is 3000. Delete unneeded files.
