3 • Running Mail

Correcting the Date on a Mail Piece

In the event that a mail piece has an incorrect date on its meter
stamp, you can fix the date by printing a unique Date Correction me-
ter stamp. Follow the steps below.
1. Press Menu.
2. Use the Review keys to scroll and select "Change meter stamp

type?"

3. Use the Review keys to scroll and select "Print corrected date

mail piece?"

4. Use the Review keys to select the correct date and press Enter/

yes. "Date Correction xx-xx-xx" displays (xx represents the date
you entered).

5. Slide a tape sheet into the mail deck. The postage meter prints

the digital indicia and indicates when to remove it when finished.
Place the corrected date tape sheet (see sample below) on the
back of the mail piece. NOTE: The date is printed with a $00.00
postage amount.

6. To return to Print Normal Postage mode, press Clear/Back, and

and press Yes/enter at the "Return to Printing postage?" prompt.
