Press the 4 button.

The AF Setting is saved.

Press the 3 button twice.

The camera returns to capture status with the current setting.

You can limit the lens focusing range according to the conditions.
Set the [Focus Limiter] to O (On) to limit the focus to far distances from
normal range during normal shooting and to close distances during
macro shooting. This enables faster focusing.

Press the 3 button in A mode.

The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [AF Setting].

Press the four-way controller (5).

The AF Setting screen appears.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Focus
Limiter].

Use the four-way controller (45)
to select
O (On) or P (Off).

The Focus Limiter setting is saved.

The camera returns to capture status with

• In Y mode, [Focusing Area] can only be set to J (Multiple) or

K

(Spot).

• In 5, z and e mode, [Focusing Area] is set to J (Multiple).
• In

C mode, [Focusing Area] is fixed to W.

• If you use the [Focusing Area] function frequently, you can save

time by assigning it to the { Setting of Green button. (p.57)
