You can select the ISO sensitivity to suit the brightness of the

surroundings.

ISO Sensitivity

Press the 3 button in A mode.

The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Sensitivity].

Press the four-way controller (5).

A pull-down menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)

to change the ISO sensitivity.

Press the 4 button.

The ISO sensitivity setting is saved.

Press the 3 button.

The camera returns to capture status with the current setting.

Setting the ISO Sensitivity

AUTO

The sensitivity is automatically adjusted in the range set in the procedures

described in “Setting Automatic Sensitivity” (p.97).

• The lower the ISO sensitivity, the less noise that affects the image. The

shutter speed will be slower in low light conditions.

• Higher ISO sensitivity settings use faster shutter speeds in low light

conditions to reduce camera shake, but the image may be affected by noise.

• When you set the shooting mode to 4, the AUTO range is set

to 64-3200.

• If you use the [Sensitivity] function frequently, you can save time

by assigning it to the { Setting of Green button. (p.57)
