Using the timer (remote controller only)

The timer can be used to automatically turn
on and off the CD player or radio at a speci-
fied time. You can set independent on and
off times for weekdays and weekends, con-
figure which days are weekdays and which
are weekend days, and turn each timer on or
off independently. The sleep timer can be
used to automatically turn off the CR-N1
after a specified amount of time.

Note that you must set the clock in order to
use the timer. See “Setting the clock” on
page 31 for information.

If you want to use the timer to turn on the
radio, you must preset the station that you
want to listen to beforehand. See “Preset-
ting FM stations automatically” on page 42
and “Presetting FM/AM stations manually”
on page 42 for information.

The timer is programmed by using the
remote controller.

Press the TIMER button repeatedly to
select the WEEKDAY or WEEKEND timer,
and then press the ENTER button.

If you selected the Weekday timer,
“W.DAY” appears on the display, and if
you selected the Weekend timer,
“W.END” appears.

Use the SETTING ( / ) buttons to set
the ON time, and then press the ENTER
button.

Use the SETTING ( / ) buttons to set
the OFF time, and then press the ENTER
button.

Use the SETTING ( / ) buttons to select
the source (i.e., CD, LINE, USB, FM, or
AM) that you want to use with the
timer, and then press the ENTER button.
