Securing the Cables to the TLS

Two adhesive backed cable tie mounts and hook and loop style cable ties are provided
to secure the interconnect cables to be secured to the rear of the TLS. Make sure to in-
sert the cable ties into the tie mounts before attaching the mounts to the library. See
Figure 5-8 for an example of the cables secured to the rear of the TLS.

Initializing the Fibre Channel Option

After attaching all of the interconnect cables from the Fibre Channel Option to the li-
brary, disconnect (if connected) the Fibre Channel Option from the FC host or Hub to
avoid affecting any operational systems.

NOTE

Refer to the applicable TLS Installation and Operation manual for instructions on using the TLS

Library and its menus.

Attach the power cord to the FCO and then push the power switch to the on position.
Apply power to the TLS library. During initialization, the library will reposition the
