Removing the
MPC750 CPU Card The Vanguard 7300 MPC750 CPU card is illustrated in Figure 5-7. Use the steps in
this table to remove the CPU card from the Vanguard 7300 enclosure:

Note
The Release 6.4 and greater IBM750FX CPU card has On-board memory. The
Pre-installed Memory PMC is not required.
Step Action
1 Power off the Vanguard 7300.
2 Disconnect any cables attached to the front of the CPU card.
3 Using a screwdriver, loosen the captive screws from the front of the CPU
card.
4 To eject the CPU card, press the ejector levers outward simultaneously.
5 Pull the CPU card from the enclosure.
