OPERATION

The grill can be used in 3 different positions. The position depends on the type of food or

context in which it is used.
Touching plates [C]

In this position, the food is cooked from the top and bottom simultaneously, in half the time.

This method enhances the flavour of the meat (steaks, hamburgers, etc.), which remains

tender and succulent. The initial high temperature (250°) forms a crust on the entire surface

of the food that seals in the juices.

This position is also suitable for bread rolls and toasted sandwiches.
Open plates at 180° [D]

In this position, the cooking surface is doubled and therefore more food can be cooked,

which will be ready simultaneously. Also ideal for cooking meat and vegetables together,

however, this will require more time.
Parallel plates [E]

Particularly delicate food can be toasted/heated with the plates in this position, which

cannot be touched or pressed by the upper plate (pizza, open toast, etc.). Also ideal to

warm cooked food or food still in the pan (lasagne, etc): the upper part, which must not

touch the plates, will be cooked au gratin.

The distance between the two plates is 5 cm.
Cooking times can vary according to the thickness, food temperature and personal taste:

this table provides a few indicative cooking times.
