loosely install side brackets on vehicle (this page);

tighten all fasteners to proper specifications (page 1)

1990-2005 CHEVROLET ASTRO & GMC SAFARI VAN (EXTENDED MODELS ONLY)

1. Remove the two (2) forward bumper bracket bolts and return to vehicle owner, both sides.
2. Raise hitch side brackets into position, aligning hole 4 in bracket with the forward most weldnut in frame.

Install the supplied M10 hex bolt with 3/8” conical washer into weldnut in frame, finger tight.

3. Make sure hitch side brackets are parallel to the frame and mark hole 2 in hitch bracket onto vehicle

bumper brackets. Remove the M10 bolts and washers and lower side brackets temporarily.

4. Remove the three (3) remaining bolts from bumper bracket bolts and remove bumper brackets from vehicle.

(Save bolts for reinstallation in step 6.) Drill a 1/2” hole into bumper brackets at the marked location.

5. Install 1/2” x 2” carriage bolt with 1/4” x 1-1/2” x 2” bolt plate into large slot in frame, both sides, as shown.
6. Line up the drilled hole in bumper bracket over carriage bolt and reinstall the bumper brackets using the

three (3) bolts removed in step 4.

7. Raise hitch side brackets back into position, aligning hole 2 with the carriage bolt and loosely install the

1/2” flat washers, 1/2” lock washers, and hex nuts. Reinstall the supplied M10 hex bolt with 3/8” conical
washer into the forward weldnut in frame.

8. Install center section per SIDE BRACKET LOCATION 2. (See page 2.)
