Decoding Pump Mode Fields

The Pump Mode fi eld must be converted to hexadecimal numbers. Many scientifi c
calculators are capable of this conversion. For example:

Decimal

Hex

257

101

1314

522

1282

502

258

102

1

001

1025

401

261

105

262

106

Use the following values (or mask bits) for the hexadecimal number to determine
the pump mode:

HOLD

001

RUN

002

FAULT

004

SLEEP

008

LOW BATTERY 010
SET FLOW

020

PROGHOLD 040
PROGRUN

080

STEL

100

LOCKOUT

200

USER SETUP

400

RESET

800

SINGLE POINT
CAL

1000

Then add the bits to determine the code:

101 = STEL + HOLD
522 = USER SETUP + STEL + SET FLOW + RUN
502 = USER SETUP + STEL + RUN
102 = STEL + RUN
001 = HOLD
401 = USER SETUP + HOLD
105 = STEL + FAULT + HOLD
106 = STEL + FAULT + RUN

For example:

Code 1314 (hex 522): pump was in the user interface having its flow (or flow
correction) adjusted.

Code 258 (hex 102): pump was running a STEL.
