3.0 Configure the FibreBridge

The ExpressNAV interface provides information and management for your FibreBridge. To use the FibreBridge
immediately, continue on to

Map Devices

on page 17.

A number of options are available based on your
FibreBridge model. Options described in this chapter
which are not available for your FibreBridge model are
greyed out in the ExpressNAV interface.
Default values are generally best for optimal
FibreBridge operation: you do not have to change any
of these parameters but you may go directly to

Map

Devices

on page 17.

Detailed explanations of these options are available
through the Help screen or by viewing the Command
Line Interface commands in

Command explanations

on page vi of the Appendix.

Note

The ExpressNAV interface is the preferred
method to manage your FibreBridge, but other
avenues are available. Refer to

Interface

options

on page 27.

Preliminary steps

If you are not already in the ExpressNAV
interface, type the IP address of your
FibreBridge in a standard browser as found in

Using ExpressNAV

on page 27, click

Enter

Here, type in your user name and password,
and click

OK.

The

Status page

appears. Click on the
element in the left-hand
menu to observe settings
or to change parameters.
Each page is described
below.

If a page has a

Submit

button, click on that
button when you have
completed the changes
for that page.

When you have
completed changes, click
on the

Restart menu

item.

a. Click the

Restart

button.
A box tells you to

wait until the counter
gets to

0 when the browser refreshes.

Restarting the firmware may take a few
minutes.

b. If the browser does not refresh after the

counter gets to

0, click the link to refresh it

manually.

Serial port configuration

Configurable options are baud rate, echo and stop
bits.
