WHERE SETTINGS ARE STORED

While most settings and options are stored within the database, some settings, such as the serial port, are stored separate from the database and apply to all

databases. If you are only working with a single database, you can ignore this section as it will have no aff ect on you. However, if you use multiple database

support, it is important to understand that some settings are unique to the database you are using, while others only need to be set once for all databases.

The following settings apply to all databases and only need to be set once:

Options Dialog: Confi g Settings tab

Multiple database support

Language selection

XP2/Model 30 serial port

HART Modem serial port

Options Dialog: Calibration Settings tab

Calibration method

Peak detection settings

Head correction

Options Dialog: Security Settings tab

All security settings except certifi cate password.

Change Database dialog

Choosing database on startup setting

All other settings are stored within the database. This means that when you change any setting not included in the list above, it aff ects only the current

database. If you want to change a setting not in the list above, but have it aff ect all of your databases, you will need to switch to each database and make the

change.
