Printer Motor Error
Call for Service

A problem has occured with the print
engine.

Unplug the power cord from the power
source, wait 10 seconds, and replug in
the cord.
Try plugging the product into a different
power source.
If the error persists, service is required.
See the front of this manual for support
information.

Printer Paper Jam
Check Paper Path

The HP LaserJet 3150 has detected that a
paper jam has occurred.

Clear the jam. (See “Clearing jams from
paper path areas” on page 162.
) The job
should continue to print. If it doesn’t, try
reprinting the job.

Printer Signal Error

The printer door is not latched securely.

There was an error in the HP LaserJet
3150 product print unit.

Open the printer door, and then close it
again, making sure both latches are
securely closed.

Unplug the power cord from the power
source, wait 10 seconds, and replug in
the cord.
Try plugging the product into a different
power source.
If the error persists, service is required.

Receive Error

An error occurred while the HP LaserJet
3150 product was receiving a fax.

See “Solving fax problems” on
page 177.

Redial Failed

Attempts to redial a fax number failed.

Call the recipient to ensure that fax
machine is on and ready.
Check that you are dialing the correct
fax number.
Unplug the telephone cord from both the
HP LaserJet 3150 product and the wall
and replug in the cord.
Press and hold

for seven

seconds to check for a dial tone.
Unplug the product telephone cord from
the wall, plug in a telephone, and try
making a call.
Plug the product phone cord into a jack
for another phone line.
