2-7-3 Enabling XP Remote Web Console Options Using a License Key Code

To enable an XP Remote Web Console product option by using the license key code, follow these instructions:

1.

Change to Modify mode (see section 2-5 for instructions).

Click Install ( ) on the XP Remote Web Console main pane to open the License Key pane (see Figure

2-23). The License Key tab is the default view.

If no XP Remote Web Console options have been installed, this pane opens automatically when you log

onto the SVP.

Click Key Code in the Mode box.

Select the desired option that you want to install in the list.

You can only select one option at a time using this method. The line for the selected option will be

highlighted.

5.

In the Key Code box, enter the license key code. To install multiple options at a time, see section 2-7-4. To

enable options automatically, see section 2-7-5.

You cannot copy and paste text from other applications.

6.

Click Install. A confirmation message appears (see Figure 2-28).

Click OK to continue installing the option.
The row of the selected option changes to

blue bold italics

and the Status column changes to Install.

To implement the setting, click Apply.

If you want to enable another option, repeat steps 4 through 7.

Click OK to continue installing the option.

To implement the setting, you must click Apply.

A warning message will appear if you install an emergency key for an option that has already been

installed using a permanent key. The emergency key will be installed but will expire in 30 days see error

code # 405 5503).

Emergency keys cannot be installed over temporary keys if the temporary key has more than 10 days

remaining.

9.

To apply the changes to the subsystem, click Apply. Then click OK.
