DIALING ASSISTANCE
FOR OUTSIDE CALLERS
Outside callers who do not know the extension number of
the person they wish to reach have three different types of
assistance available to them:
Dial by Name enables them to reach the person by dialing
a few letters of their name.
Extension Assistance plays recorded announcements of
extension numbers.
Single Digit Dialing allows the caller to reach a prepro-
grammed extension by dialing one digit.
NOTE
A person calling from inside the system may also
use all three of these options, if she first exits the
system and then dials the outside IMAGEN tele-
phone number.
DIAL BY NAME
An outside caller answered by the Auto Attendant Dial by
Name (ADBN) can reach an extension by dialing the name
of the extension owner, instead of the extension number.
The caller dials the first few digits of the extension owner's
name, using the standard DTMF telephone dialpad.
