MK-Scarifier aSSeMBLY
The Height Adjustment Hand-wheel will adjust the depth (up or down) of the Cutting Drum
by 1/16 of an inch per turn.
A) Configure the Cutting Drum for Grooving
B) Locate the lowest spot and highest spot on the surface
C) Adjust the height of the Cutting Drum to remove approximately 1/16 of an inch from the
high spot
D) Set the Vibration Lock
E) Move the Scarifier in a smooth forward motion.
F) When the Cutting Discs are no longer contacting the surface, return the Scarifier to the
starting position
G) Repeat Steps A through E until the Surface is level (See Figure 1)
A) Configure the Cutting Drum for Grooving
B) Adjust the Cutting Drum Depth until the Scarifier is cutting grooves approximately 1/8 of
an inch
C) Move the Scarifier in a smooth forward motion
D) Should the Cutting Discs loose contact with the surface, repeat Step B and continue
forward motion
E) Repeat Steps A through D until the desired number of grooves are cut (See Figure 2)
