About Clips Storage
and Folders

To aid in organizing projects and provide easy access to clips for playback, TruZoom
records clips into a time-stamped directory (Playback folder).

Clips are recorded as a sequence of DPX (or RAW) files. The Playback folder is located
inside a Segment Folder which in turn is located inside a Show Folder.

The hierarchical directory structure is:

-Show Folder

-Segment Folder

-Playback (Clip) Folder

-DPX or RAW files

Prior to recording, you need to create a Show Folder on the RAID. This is done outside of
TruZoom, typically using Windows Explorer. Then using TruZoom, the you add the newly
created Show Folder to the pull-down menu of Show Folders by pressing the “+” button.

Next, create Segment Folders inside the Show Folder using the “Create” button next to
the Segment folder pull-down menu. The Segment folder list is automatically populated
with all sub-directories created within the Show Folder.

For example, the you can create a Show Folder called “MondayGame” and the Segment
Folders called “First Quarter”, “Second Quarter”, etc., or “1Top”, “1Bottom, “2Top”, etc.

As the show progresses, you can select each segment folder in turn for new recordings. If
you don’t want to use segments, select Same As Show in the Segment Folder pull-down
menu.

Using the Show Folder:

The current selection in the Show Folder pull-down menu determines the root of where
recordings will be made.

Selecting a Show Folder from the Show Folder pull-down menu causes the Segment
Folder pull-down menu to be populated with the contents of the selected Show Folder.

To add or delete existing folders in the Show Folder pull-down menu, use the “+” and”-”
buttons.
