Entering QC Lots
Up to five quality control lot numbers, expiration dates, and expected ranges can be entered per assay type for
both level 1 (normal) and level 2 (abnormal) liquid controls. Selection or scanning of a QC lot number is only
allowed when Required, Scan only, and/or Pre-stored only is specified for QC Lot Options (see page 57).

Note: If more than five QC lot numbers per assay are scanned or entered for level 1 and/or level 2
controls, the lot number(s) with the closest expiration date will be deleted.
Note: QC lot number information may be scanned using the barcode scanner through the
Supervisor menu and uploaded to Configuration Manager (page 19). If needed, the expected
ranges can then be manually changed by the supervisor in Configuration Manager.
Note: QC lot number information that is manually entered into the HEMOCHRON Signature Elite
instrument when running a QC test is only saved to that particular QC test record and is not
uploaded to Configuration Manager.
