No sound or only a low
sound is heard when
playing back a tape. The stereo tape is
played back with
HiFi SND set to "1" or
"2" in the menu system. Set to "STEREO" in the menu
system.

Excessive high-pitched
sound is heard. The picture has been
recorded with WIND
set to ON in the menu
system. When there is no wind, set the
selector to OFF.

Recording stops in a
few seconds. REC TIME switch is set
to 5 SEC. Set it to NORMAL.

indicator disappears.

viewfinder screen is not
clear.
The viewfinder lens is
not adjusted. Adjust the viewfinder lens.

when a subject such as

The contrast between

background is too high. The camcorder is not
malfunctioning. Change locations.

menu system. Set it to OFF.

dirty. Clean the heads using the Sony
V8-25CLH cleaning cassette.
