Recording a Conversation in
Progress at the Handset

While you are talking on phone, you can

record the conversation.
Make sure that the tape is installed and the

answering machine is turned on.

To start recording, press (CONV REC).

The REMOTE lamp lights up.

To stop recording, press (CONV REC)

again.

The REMOTE lamp goes off.

Recording also stops when you end the

conversation by pressing (TALK) or

placing the handset on the base unit.

The recorded conversation will be counted

as an incoming message.

To play back a recorded conversation

Follow the same steps as “Playing Back

Messages” (see page 33).

• Even if the tape comes to the end while recording

a conversation, the REMOTE lamp of the

handset will remain lit. The five short error beeps

sound only when you stop recording. Therefore,
check the tape length before recording.^___________

• To record the caller’s voice only, press (MUTE).

The TALK lamp blinks. Your voice will not be

recorded, and the caller will not hear you.
