LEARANCE
The 224 drum brake shoe clearance must be checked once per month.

Remove the air from the system.

Shut off or disconnect the air supply to the dyno, and follow lock out
procedure.

Using the red button on the pendant, cycle the drum brakes on and off
several times until no air is heard.

Measure the gap between the brake shoe and the drum surface. This gap should
be 3 mm to 10 mm (.125 in. to .375 in.).

If the brake shoe clearance is out of specification perform the following steps:

Remove the two 3/8-inch bolts and washers that secure the brake slave
cylinder to the dyno frame.
