The speller provides the characters corre-
sponding to the selected data field.
̈ To switch predictive speller to up-
per or lower case characters: Select
( or &.
̈ To switch predictive speller charac-
ter set: Select
#.
Every time this is selected it switches
the character set (digits, lower case let-
ters).
̈ To change the predictive speller lan-
guage: Select
!.
̈ Rotate y m z or slide q m r until the re-
quired language is highlighted and
press
n.
̈ To move the cursor in the data field:
Select
Y or Z.
̈ To delete an individual character:
Select
õ and briefly press n.
or
̈ Press the î button next to the
COMAND controller.
The character to the left of the cursor is
deleted.
̈ To delete an entire entry: Select
õ and press and hold n until the
entire entry has been deleted.
or
̈ Press and hold î next to the
COMAND controller until the entry has
been deleted.
̈ To save entry: Select B
A corresponding message is displayed.
̈ To cancel entry: Select “Back”.
If one of the data fields contains data,
you will be prompted to confirm wheth-
er you wish to save the entry.
̈ Select “Yes” or “No”.
The entry will be saved or discarded
on the basis of the selection.
Adding a phone number from the call list
to an existing address book entry
̈ Select the list entry ( ୴ page 97).
̈ Select “Options” K “Save” K “Add
Phone No.”.

“Save” has no function if the selected list
entry is already saved in the address book.
̈ Select a number category, e.g.
“Home”.
̈ Select a phone category, e.g.
“Mobile Phone”.
̈ Select “Save”.
The search menu for address book en-
tries appears.
̈ Search for the required entry.

try.
̈ Press n after completing the search.
If there are fewer than five numbers
saved for the required entry in the se-
lected number category, COMAND
saves the data.
A corresponding message is displayed.
