NOTE: The flat side of the yoke should be parallel to the

box section of the frame when the pins are
installed. See Figure 6.5.

NOTE: A couple of straight edges can be used to check

the alignment of the yoke to the frame.
See Figure 6.5.

If they are not:

• Check for a bent yoke.

• Remove the yoke and check the gear timing. See

the yoke section of this chapter for the proper pro-
cedures.

Loosen the jam nuts on both ends of the tie rod(s).
See Figure 6.6.

7.

Disconnect one end of the tie rod. See Figure 6.7.

8.

Manually move the front wheel yoke until the align-
ment holes line up.

9.

Insert the 5/16” pin.
