The Microprocessor processes the digital signals with transfer to the
Computer System via the Input/Output (I/O) Interface. The
Microprocessor also receives operational commands from the
Computer System via the I/O Interface.

The function and operation of the computer system is described in
the support documentation for your computer.


3.2

HARDWARE


The Hardware section familiarizes the Operator with the subsystems
used in the

color-view™

systems: Spectrophotometer, Computer

System, Printer and Accessories.


3.2.1

Spectrophotometer


The

color-view™

Sensor is shown schematically in Figure 3-2.

Sensor Unit components include: 1. Reflectance Port (shown in
Figure 3-1) 2. Internal Paddle; 3. Retroviewer; 4. Operator Controls
(see Figure 3-2); and 5. Lamp Compartment (see Figure 3-4).


Reflectance Port

The Reflectance Port is the interface for materials which are to be
sampled for Reflectance Measurements. The System is equipped
with the Large Area Aperture (32 mm) and Optical Baffle as
standard items. An optional Small Area (11mm) lens barrel and
aperture can be purchased and mounted in place of the standard
aperture, when smaller sample measurements are desired.
