3.3.5 Changing Lens and Aperture (Small Area Option):
The procedure for changing the Lens and Aperture on the instrument
is as follows:
1 Remove the Aperture Plate from the top of the Sensor.
Caution must be exercised so that this plate is not bent, or
its surface scratched or damaged during this process. Its
flat surface is critical to the measurement geometry.

Press the appropriate keys on host computer keyboard to
move the paddle out of the blocking position and permit
access to the baffle/lens assembly. See Software Help
Menu for details.
3 Remove the currently installed Lens by pulling straight
up. It is snap fitted into the socket.
4 Install the Lens to be used in the next series of
measurements. Make sure it is fully seated by pressing it
straight down.
5 Carefully install the corresponding Aperture Plate. Do
not bend or scratch the plate surface making sure that the
tapered aperture side is down (facing the lens baffle).
6 Return the unused Lens and Aperture Plate to the
accessory case for safe storage.
7 Recalibrate the instrument.
