Shutdown Method (Continued)
When the Outlet is turned On, the
SV1108IPPOW waits for the amount
time set in the Power On Delay field,
then sends power to the server. When
the server receives the power, it turns
itself on.
NOTE: For Safe Shutdown and Reboot,
the computer must be running Windows
(98 or higher), or Linux, and the Safe
Shutdown program (available by
download from our website), must be
installed and running on the computer.
Kill the Power: If this option is selected,
the SV1108IPPOW waits for the amount
time set in the Power Off Delay field,
and then turns the Outlet’s power Off.
Turning the power off performs a cold
(non-safe) shutdown.
MAC
In order to use either of the Safe
Shutdown methods the MAC address of
the computer connected to the outlet
must be filled in here.
