ME 4R NT:
Use the vacuum adjustment device at the inlet
port of the pump to
control the vacuum in the
system. Turning the dispensing screw controls
the amount of gases pumped from the vacuum
system:
- Turning the dispensing screw counterclock-
wise: vacuum is decreased (higher pres-
sure) (Intake of additional bleed air via the
dispensing screw.)
- Turning the dispensing screw clockwise:
vacuum is increased (lower pressure)
Use the pressure adjustment device at the out-
let port of the pump to control the
overpres-
sure accordingly:
- Turning the dispensing screw counterclock-
wise: pressure is decreased (Pump blows
off via dispensing screw.)
- Turning the dispensing screw clockwise:
pressure is increased

Note: Maximum permissible overpressure at the
outlet side of the ME 4R NT pump: 44 psi (3 bar)!

The pump can be switched off under vacuum.

Short-term:
- Has the pump been exposed to conden-
sate?
Allow the pump to continue to run at atmo-
spheric pressure for a few minutes.
- Has the pump been exposed to media which
may damage the pump materials or form
deposits?
Check and clean pump heads if necessary.
