2. Getting Start

After unpacking the Communicator from the box, please follow these steps to start the
Communicator and install IP Commander and setup the VoIP features.

2.1. Power on Communicator and iPad

Following the hardware installation section of IP3092/IP3092L Communicator User
Guide, connect the curly cord to both the handset and Communicator, the Ethernet
cable between the LAN port and the LAN or Internet router, and the power adapter
between the wall socket and the Communicator;

Then power on Communicator, but do not connect your iPad;

It will take just about two minutes for the Communicator to start up; you will see
the LEDs light and then go off while the blue LED of the message waiting indicator
(MWI) stays lit a little longer. When the MWI LED goes off, the Communicator is
ready and you can connect your iPad

2.2. Software Installation

2.2.1. Installing the IP Commander app on your iPad

When an iPad is inserted into the Communicator, the Communicator will scan the iPad to
determine whether it has been connected to the Communicator and whether it has the
Commander app installed. If this is the first time you have connected your iPad to the
Communicator, and you do not have the Commander app, a dialog box will display saying
“This accessory requires an application you do not have” and “Would you like to
install it from App store?”

Please press the

“Yes” button. Then the iPad will lead you to iTunes store to

dowload the IP Commander app. Then you have to confirm the “install” on your
iPad.
