1.2. Operating Modes and Requirements


The Communicator operates in two modes;

iPad app mode… where the user can make and recieve calls using FaceTime™ ,
Skype™, Hookflash, Bria for iPad and other social networking or communications
apps running on the iPad

IP Commander mode… where the user can make and recieve calls using the
MOCET™ Commander™ application, available from the Apple™ app store

The Communicator is configured by default to start in

iPad app mode. For operating in

iPad app mode, the iPad uses it’s built in connectivity options for communicating with
FaceTime, Skype, Hookflash, VoIP services or IP PBXs. For operating in I

P Commander

mode, the Communicator must be connected to an Ethernet LAN to register with a VoIP
service or an IP PBX.


1.3. Installation and Setup


The Communicator comes with all the accessories needed to get going right away.
Included in the box is a Quick Start Guide, a handset, handset cord, power supply adapter,
and an Ethernet cable.

The IP Communicator can support wide-range of viewing angles (30°~75°) as the hinge is
easily adjusted (see below).
