When the presser foot height adjustment dial is set at 1-1/2
to 3 the fabric can be pivoted without the need to raise the
presser foot. Follow the steps below for pivoting your fabric
properly when curved sewing.
1. Press the positioning button to set the needle in the down
position. (Fig. A)
2. Adjust the presser foot height adjustment dial for the
thickness of the fabric. (Fig. B)
3. When the needle penetrates the fabric the presser foot
will be slightly raised. (Fig. C)
4. Stop the machine when you reach a corner or a section
of your design where you would like to pivot the fabric.

5. Pivot the fabric and continue curved sewing. (Fig. E)
NOTE:
The needle will always stop in the down position when the
green or orange LED light is lit.
REMINDER:
When the green LED light is lit the next time the needle pen-
etrates the fabric an actual stitch will be made on the top of
the fabric.
When the orange LED light is lit the next time the needle
penetrates the fabric there will be a space. (See page 15)
