The VLAN ID is a unique number ranging from 1~4095.

The VLAN port status is a 12-digit binary number whose bit-1 location indicates the VLAN port membership
in which 4MSBs and 8LSBs represent the LAN port and WAN port, respectively. For example, setting the Port
Status to 10001, means that the VID 20 member port includes LAN and WAN. The member ports are tagged
members. Use the PVID command to change the member port to untagged members

PVID

To assign PVID (Port VID), move the cursor ">>" to PVID command and press the enter key. The port index
1 represents LAN1 and port index 5 to 12 represents WAN1 to WAN8. On selecting the PVID command the
following message is displayed

Command: setup vlan pvid <1~12> <1~4094>
Message: Please input the following information.

are two types of link: access and trunk. A Trunk link will send the tagged packet from the port and an Access

mode of the device, the link type of the WAN port is automatically configured. If the product operates in
bridge mode, the WAN link type will be Trunk, and in routing mode it will be Access. On selecting the
